New Member Information

Come learn about Central Baptist's basic core beliefs and experience a spiritual journey as you assess your spiritual gifts, relational style, vocational skills and passion which will enable you to find a place of service in the church.  The class meets on a revolving basis during the Sunday School hour and is taught by the pastor or director of education. 

The Central Journey
    for New Members

New members of Central Baptist are encouraged to participate in The Central Journey.  This ministry is designed to help familiarize new members with the church, including:

  • The pastor and the mission and vision of the church

  • The basic beliefs and core values

  • The church history

  • The denominational identity

  • The discovery of the new member’s SERVE profile which identifies an individual’s

Spiritual gifts

Experiences

Relational style

Vocational skills

Enthusiasm

  • The service opportunities in the church

  • …And much more!

Any new member who has not participated in The Central Journey is encouraged to join the class by calling the church office to register.  Upon completion of The Central Journey, new members are encouraged to join an age appropriate Sunday School Class.
