Music Ministry

CBC Music Ministry Purpose Statement

By implementing a fully graded Music Ministry, we believe we are equipping everyone to worship in spirit and in truth through the vehicle of music.

 

At Central, we believe music is a gift available to us to be used to teach Biblical principals and to express our praise to God. We believe this is best accomplished through the use of our many gifted members in teaching and leading musical experiences which lift up the name of Jesus. 

 

Children's Choir

Praise Kids is our children's choir ministry. Kids are placed in age graded choirs where they learn about music and worship while preparing a Christmas presentation. Kids meet for choir September-December from 6:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday nights.

 

We have wonderful, dedicated choir leaders who not only love music but children as well. Your child will be welcomed by a loving smile and a caring heart when they attend one of the children's choirs at Central. 

 

 

 

 

 

Youth Praise Band

Presently, our youth enjoy a praise and worship experience on Wednesday evening at our Student Ministry /  Missions building.  The Youth Praise Bands leads in a praise and worship time during the Wednesday Youth Service as well as leading in worship from time to time on Sundays.  The Youth Praise Band rehearses on Monday evenings. 
 


 Worship Leading Choirs 

There is Adult Choir, a Senior Adult Ukulele Choir and a Special Events Choir at Central.  Our Worship choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. and sings each Sunday in the two morning worship services.  Our Senior Adult Ukulele Choir rehearses each first and third Monday at 9:30 a.m. and performs once a month.  The Special Events Choir and Orchestra perform during Easter, Christmas and Summer Musicals annually.

 

Praise Team, Praise Band and Vocal Ensembles

Central Baptist currently has an Instrumental Praise Band, Praise Team Singers and a Men of Central Quartet.  The Praise Band rehearses on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. and is open for membership by audition.  The Praise Team Singers rehearse at 4:00 p.m. on Sundays and is open for membership by audition.  The Men of Central Quartet rehearses on Wednesday evenings.  The Praise Team Singers and the Praise Band with the Worship Choir lead in worship during Sunday morning services and regularly during the Sunday evening worship hour. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

HandBell Choirs

There are currently two Handbell choirs at Central.  A beginning Handbell choir which meets on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. and a more advanced group which meets on Wednesday evenings at 6:15 p.m.  Our Handbell choir has been on a mission to Vermont and also to the South American country of Ecuador.   

 

Music and Missions

Our worship choir and instrumental group plan a mission trip each year.  Our worship choir visited with North American Missionaries in Vermont.
