Groups are a great way to make new friends and at the same time grow in your relationship with God. Our groups are as varied as we are; whatever the age, interest, or location, there is a group that is just right for you.

Small group Sunday School is a great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. Small Groups take place between our 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services and begin at 9:30 a.m. When you are on church campus, visit the information tables for detailed small group information. Greeters will be there to show you where the small groups meet and introduce you to the groups. For more information contact Fred Bueto at

1. A place to Connect.
“…yes, whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him.” 1 Corinthians 9:22 LB

2. A place to Protect.
“We know what real love is because Christ gave up His life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters.” 1 John 3:16 NLT

3. A place to Grow.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

We are a community of college students and young adults from around the Decatur area who gather at Central Baptist Church on Sunday evenings @ 5pm and Wednesday nights @ 6:15pm. We desire to be a community that seeks to worship, to engage in fellowship, to love and encourage one another, and to be reminded of the missional focus of the Christian life.  For more information contact Dewain Clemons at

Serving Together A Risen Savior
…shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life…Philippians 2:15-16(NIV)

The Senior Adult Ministry, led by Byran Blass – Associate Pastor/ Minister of Senior Adults, endeavors to keep this segment of the church’s members active and involved in the life of the church by providing interesting activity that builds fellowship as well as giving guidance to spiritual growth and maturity. We encourage regular worship, Bible study in Sunday School Classes and Discipleship Training as provided by the church throughout the year.

In addition a monthly fellowship meal with programs is provided on the 3rd Thursday of the month, from 11:30am to 1:00pm. A variety of trips are planned for selected months that in the past has seen us take overnight trips on charter buses to Branson, Missouri; Washington DC; Savannah, GA; and Mobile, AL. The One day trips have taken us too many cities for plays in theaters, Riverboat rides, Scenic Train ride and other historic areas that are within a round trip distance that can be made in one day.

Activities are planned through the STARS Council which is composed of nine or ten senior adults. Contact Bro. Blass at

iStock_000033432512_XXXLarge_croppedThe Women’s Ministry of Central Baptist is designed for all women of all ages. We are women seeking to make Christ central of all we do.
How? Relationships!

First – our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Family – second only to Christ.

Friendships – we are sisters in Christ

Our goal is to build & encourage growth in each of these relationships through worship, small group Bible study, Christian mentors, fun & fellowship! When we as Christian women build each other up in Christ, we become mirrors reflecting the glory the Lord & thereby, making Him central to us as individuals, in our homes, our communities & our world. Our Spanish ministry gives us the opportunity as one church to reach out to our hispanic community. Central Baptist offers several opportunities for Spanish-

Pastor David Roesener leads our Spanish Worship Service and Saturday evening bible studies. We are blessed to have him and his wife Yadira Roesener serve with us in many ways.  For more information contact:
