You are invited to join us for our Christmas musical this year! Stop by the Worship Center this Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. to check things out. Also, special Christmas rehearsals will begin in September on select Sunday evenings, so even if you cannot commit to Wednesday nights, come join us on Sunday nights!

We need lots of singers for our Christmas choir. We need players for our Christmas orchestra. We need set designers and lighting operators. If you are interested in helping in any way, please contact me at cfarris@cbcdecatur.org. Come and be a part of something great this Christmas season!

CBC Worship Venues
Not everyone has the same taste in worship style. That's why we have three different worship venues at Central! Our pastor Rob Jackson preaches the same message at our two morning venues. Bryan Blass, our associate pastor, regularly rotates preaching with Rob on Sunday evenings:

Classic Worship at 8:15 am
This traditional blended worship venue is led by our Worship Choir, piano and organ. We use a wide variety of hymns and choruses to blend together a service full of spirit, energy and reverence.

Connect Worship at 10:30 am
This contemporary worship venue is led by our Worship Choir, Praise Teams and Connect Worship Band. We use solid scripture-based choruses, hymns and spiritual songs to create an atmosphere of freedom and excitement.

Evening Worship at 6:00 pm
This traditional worship venue is led by piano and organ, and uses hymns, gospel songs and choruses to facilitate a warm spirit of worship and fellowship.

Christmas Musical Orchestra – we are currently recruiting members to play in our orchestra for the Christmas musical this December! Rehearsals will begin in September. If you play an instrument and are interested, please contact Chason at cfarris@cbcdecatur.org.

*NEW FOR FALL 2011:
twelveOne Student Arts –we will meet on Sunday nights at 6:00 pm in the twelveOne Preteen ministry area (grades 5-6) starting September 11, 2011. This group will lead regularly in our Sunday worship venues and we are planning a summer mission tour for 2012.

Worship Choir – meets every Wednesday in the Worship Center at 6:00 pm. The Worship Choir provides worship leadership in both of our Sunday morning worship venues, as well as special seasonal services throughout the year.

KidzTown Choir – our children’s choir (grades K-4) meets on Wednesday nights in KidzTown Theater at 6:00 pm. They present a large Christmas musical every winter. This year’s production is A Charlie Brown Christmas and will be presented December 10 & 11, 2011.

Preschool Choir – our preschool choir meets every Wednesday in the Worship KidStyle Room at 6:00 pm. They present a Christmas musical for our church in December.

Hand Bell Choir – meets weekly on Wednesday evenings (August through May) and plays for various special seasonal events.

Sing ‘N Strings Ukulele Choir – our senior adult choir meets the first Monday morning of each month, and performs in various venues throughout Decatur and northwest Alabama.

TV/Media Team – our TV/media team is responsible for the video capture, editing and production of our weekly television ministry, as well as all live media in our worship venues.

Audio Team – our audio team is responsible for all live sound operations during our Sunday worship venues and weekly services.

Computer Projection Team – our projection team provides operators for computer projection services in all worship venues and weekly services. Our current projection software is ProPresenter.
