Our Discipleship Training Classes are beginning soon. We encourage everyone who can to get involved in these

important small group studies. Sign up at church or respond to this email and let us know the class you wish to attend.

The classes to be offered are:

Experiencing God -- Jack Lovelace facilitator. I cannot say enough about this phenomenal study which teaches us

to see and hear God and then join Him in His activity around us. If you have never taken this study (or you would like

to take it again) I encourage you to get in this group. This is a study that will change your life . . . I know it did mine.

Our Christian Hope: Biblical Answers to Questions about the Future--Jean Holmes facilitator. David Dockery,

who wrote this study, taught at Southern Seminary when I was a student (he is now President of Union University).

This study will encourage you, answer many of your questions about the future, and provide much biblical fodder for

discussion. If I had one word to say about this study, it would be excellent!

Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman--facilitator April Baker. Once again, Beth Moore knocks it out of the park with

her usual witty charm and biblical insights. It seems Beth Moore has one hit after another, and the study of Esther is

no exception. Women, especially, love Beth Moore. This class is from 5:30—7:30

Duty or Delight? Knowing Where You Stand With God--facilitator Tonya Jackson. This study walks you through

six stops to free yourself from spiritual insecurities and ignite your faith. You can stop living in guilt, confusion, and

duty. Instead, you can delight in the God who delights in you! Do you want to break free and soar for Christ? If so,

perhaps this group would be terrific for you.

Radical--facilitators Phillip and Karen Carnes. This is David Platt's signature book. In it, you will be challenged to

move beyond the consumer mentality of much of Western Christianity, and instead live a radical life for Christ. Many

people in our church have already gone through this study . . . if you get in this group, watch out, you will be challenged

and changed!

3:16 The Numbers of Hope--Patrick Caver facilitator. Max Lucado gives us a deeper perspective in the beauty and

depth of John 3:16. The heart-stilling, mind-bending, deal-making or breaking claim of John 3:16 is that God gave his

son. Why? So that whoever believes in him shall not perish. This study will be a study that will take you into the

beautiful hope. . . the hope of God as revealed in His Word.

The Foundations of the Christian Life--facilitators Phil and Penny Fitzgerald. All of us need to strengthen our biblical

foundations. Apart from a proper foundation, we will be like a wave tossed on the ocean. This practical, yet profound,

study will enable you to work on your Christian foundation so that you might be stronger and more effective

follower in Christ Jesus.

Divorce Care--facilitators Carole Crump with Larry Schmidt. The reputation of this class speaks for itself. If you, or

someone you know, are going through a divorce, recently divorced, or contemplating divorce then this class is a

must! This class is a 13 week study but has already been meeting for 2 weeks. You can join at any time.

Two Become One in Christian Marriage--facilitator Bryan Blass. Brother Bryan, building upon a successful and loving

marriage and his years of pastoral experience, will help you to experience greater joy in your marriage. If you

want to apply biblical principles to enable your marriage to go to new heights, then this will be a great study for you.

Biblical Leadership in the Home: A Men's Study--David Yarbrough facilitator. Men, it is time we step up to the

plate and become the spiritual leaders God intends. This study will help you to become the godly husband and father

that God expects. Men, this study is a must!

Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy--Kim Yarbrough and Kimberly Moon facilitators. Beth Moore's study

of prophecy in Daniel will challenge you, answer questions, and help you to be the Christian God intends. As with all

Beth Moore studies, you will laugh and cry, you will have fun and you will get serious. Through it all, however, you

will learn more of the beauty and majesty of God in fulfilling His promises. This class will meet from 5:30 until 7:00

For those who do not want a small group setting, I will be sharing in Manna Hall on Knowing God. Prayerfully read

back through this list and ask God where He wants you to be fed this fall semester. God bless you!
